blade chord

A straight line joining the leading edge of a propeller blade with its trailing edge.
blade cuff A metallic, wooden, or plastic structure designed for attachment to the shank end of the blade, with an outer surface that will transform the round shank into an airfoil section. The cuff is designed primarily to increase the flow of cooling air to the engine nacelle.
